Apple launches iPhone 16e: Everything you need to know at a glance

Apple launched today the iPhone 16e, an addition to the iPhone 16 series that offers sophisticated features at a cheaper price point. The new gadget, which incorporates the A18 CPU and the first Apple-designed cellular modem, the Apple C1, provides consumers with smooth performance and a longer battery life.

The iPhone 16e is also compatible with Apple Intelligence, an intuitive personal intelligence system that gives relevant information while respecting privacy. The gadget has a 48MP Fusion camera with an embedded 2x Telephoto lens, giving it the functionality of two cameras in one. This enables users to zoom in with optical fidelity on their photographs and videos.

In addition, the iPhone 16e has new satellite services including Emergency SOS, Roadside Assistance, Messages, and Find My via Satellite. These features enable customers to stay connected and obtain support even when they are outside of cellular and Wi-Fi service zones.

The iPhone 16e will be offered in two matte finishes: black and white, with a range of colored covers for personalization. Pre-orders for the gadget will begin on Friday, February 21, and the product will be available starting Friday, February 28.

Apple's vice president of Worldwide iPhone Product Marketing, Kaiann Drance, expressed enthusiasm about the iPhone 16e's potential to extend the iPhone experience to more people, citing its affordability and impressive capabilities.

The iPhone 16e will be available in white and black, with three storage options: 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. The gadget will start at $599, with a monthly charge of $24.95 for 24 months in the United States.
